2,000 jobs available annually in Yukon, Canada for Filipino skilled workers

Last Sunday, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) issued a press release informing that there will be job opportunities that will open in various industries.

Better Opportunities

A total of 2,000 jobs for Filipino skilled workers will be available annually in Yukon, Canada as stated by Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III.

“The joint communique with Yukon, Canada contains a request for 2,000 skilled workers every year,” Bello stated.

The reason why Canadians prefer hiring Filipino workers because of the quality of their work and efficiency. Added to that, they are more conscious about the family bond that is why they encourage the workers to bring their family with them in Canada and they will facilitate their entry.

Amazing Environment

On the said event, Bello said that the Filipinos located in Yukon are well protected, respected without any class distinction and they haven’t heard and single complaint.

Yukon is s located in the northwest part of Canada and there are approximately 20,000 residents and 3,000 of them are Filipinos. That is why it is a good environment most especially for first-timers because they are very much welcomed in the community.

Competitive Salary

The careers that will be opening are mostly for heavy equipment operators, nurses, cooks, chefs, engineers, caregiver, call center agents and others which salaries are ranging from P80,000 to P300,000.

According to DOLE one of the requirements are fluency in English, holder of a degree related to the job and had undergone appropriate training. Finally, the candidate must be physically and mentally fit.
