The Economist Intelligence Unit has released its annual Global Liveability Ranking for 2016. They considered 30 factors from five broad categories to generate this ranking namely, Stability, Healthcare, Culture, Environment, Education and Infrastructure. Among 140 cities in the world, they have recognized the top 10.
Melbourne, Australia has retained its top spot on the list for the sixth year. It is followed by Vienna, Austria. Vancouver is in the third spot followed by Toronto and Calgary. All three Canadian cities also received the maximum score of 100 points for education, healthcare and stability.
This is great news for Australia and Canada since these 2 countries dominates this ranking. Their governments are doing something right for its people. Further developments and improvements are on the way for Canada’s government. Will we be seeing a Canadian City on the top of the list soon? We’ll see.
