Getting ready for the opening day of Jollibee in Winnipeg? We are giving you the 6 things to prepare for.
1. Jollibee Mascot
We will be seeing a very special guest. You’ve guessed it right! A grand opening of a Jollibee store will be, of course, led by none other than Jollibee, himself. Get to see his awesome dance skills and charming poses as he will definitely be selfie-ready. Prepare your phones and cameras!
2. Winter’s Frigid Cold
Continue to check the weather forecast until the day of the opening. It is expected to be really really cold up to -31°C. Dress warm as you may be waiting in line for a long time and it might extend up to the outside of the store.
3. Jollibee Freebies
Jollibee Canada announced on Facebook yesterday that it a joyful surprise awaits the first 300 customers that will spend over $25 during the grand opening day on December 15. They will receive Jollibee Collectible Dolls!
4. Meet more Kababayans
Filipinos will surely flock to the Jollibee store opening and they will not just be from Winnipeg. Filipinos across Canada are expected to come to Winnipeg just to get a taste of their Jollibee favorites. Prepare to meet more kababayans while in queue.
5. Long queue and prolonged waiting time
Jollibee Canada also announced that it will be opening at 7am so expect that the line will start to build up hours before the opening. Depending on the turnout, waiting time can be as long as 2 hours (or more).
The recent opening of Jollibee in Skokie, Chicago last July can definitely teach us a thing or two. It has been reported that they served 5,000 customers on the opening day. 500 customers were already in line before the doors even opened. Filipinos of different ages were there like Baby Makiko who was the youngest customer in line at 18 months old, and a customer named Elizabeth who was the oldest at 77 years old.
