Filipino Store in Edmonton Robbed at Gunpoint

Kabayan Filipino Store is located at a strip mall along 42 avenue and 66 street in Edmonton. Officers were called to the said location just before 8pm on Oct.15 when they received a reported robbery.

According to the Police, three masked men approached the front counter with a handgun and demanded cash from the store clerk. They fled by foot with the undisclosed amount of cash. Further investigation led to a speculation that the three were already in the area more than half an hour before the robbery took place.

Police are currently looking for three men. They are also asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Edmonton police at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Witnesses say the robbers had East Indian accents. The first suspect is described as dark skinned who wore an Adidas hoodie with the words “Brothers Through Everything” on the back, black track pants with a blue stripe down the leg. The other two suspects are described as dark skinned, about 5’8” tall and about 150 pounds.
