Where to find some free household items? The best answer, On Streets! The upcoming Canada’s Curbside Giveaway Weekends are one of the great events to find some free items, especially for all those newcomers.
Then for some, you can unclutter and give your pre-loved items which you don’t use anymore, give them a new home on Canada’s Curbside Giveaway weekends. This happens every spring and fall seasons.
Put household items that you don’t use anymore at the curb on your front street. Make sure to label it with a FREE sign. Remove leftovers from the curb by dusk on Sunday or you can give it to any charitable institutions.
Proper items to give are:
Books, CDs, DVDs, furniture, electronics, artwork, mirrors, sports equipment, toys, yard and gardening tools and equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, snow throwers, rakes, shovels), small appliances, kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, construction material (e.g., nails, paint, wood), clothing. These items should be in good condition.
A reminder not to give items that could be unsafe and infested with bed bugs (e.g., mattresses, furniture, bedding). If you are suffering from bed bugs in the home, this can be a pain, but it is nothing to worry too much about. There are always professionals like Pest Control Des Moines who can help to put a plan in place to help get your home back from any pest infestation. It can be a pain when you have to go through something like this, but there is always a solution. If you’re not located in Des Moines or Iowa, but need help with a bed bug infestation, you should look at west virginia terminix locations, or other locations, as Terminix operates in many states.
If you are looking for items, make sure that it is marked FREE. Check closely for bed bugs before you bring them into your home. Obey all traffic rules and watch your kids at all times.
So, when and where:
Winnipeg – May 14 and May 15, 2016
Halifax – June 04 and June 05, 2016
Ottawa – June 11 and June 12, 2016
Warning: Don’t forget in a Giveaway Weekend, do not leave valuables in the front yard where people can see it or it may leave accidentally. Keep it in your backyard or garage. There will be “Scouts” out in the evening looking to get a head start.
