Where to find some free household items? The best answer, On Streets! The upcoming Canada’s Curbside Giveaway Weekends are one of the great events to find some free items, especially for all those newcomers.
Then for some, you can unclutter and give your pre-loved items which you don’t use anymore, give them a new home on Canada’s Curbside Giveaway weekends. This happens every spring and fall seasons.
Here’s how:
Put household items that you don’t use anymore at the curb on your front street. Make sure to label it with a FREE sign. Remove leftovers from the curb by dusk on Sunday or you can give it to any charitable institutions.
Proper items to give are:
Books, CDs, DVDs, furniture, electronics, artwork, mirrors, sports equipment, toys, yard and gardening tools and equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, snow throwers, rakes, shovels), small appliances, kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, construction material (e.g., nails, paint, wood), clothing. These items should be in good condition.
A reminder not to give items that could be unsafe and infested with bed bugs (e.g., mattresses, furniture, bedding).
