The Canadian Prime Minister is back in the Philippines for the 2017 Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit. He had previously visited the country in 2015 for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.
PM Trudeau arrived at the Clark International Airport on Sunday afternoon. Within the same afternoon, he went out of his itinerary to visit the Jollibee North Harbour Branch. According to a social media post by the Pinoy fast food chain, Trudeau delighted its customers and store team during his visit.
He was said in the area because he attended the gala celebration of the 50th anniversary of Association of the Southeast Asian Nation in SMX Convention Center.
He ordered a fried chicken and a strawberry float. “Can I get it to go? I’ll eat it in the car,” Trudeau said, before posing for a photo op with the Jollibee staff.
Inside and outside the store, hundreds of people were delighted as Trudeau gave smiles, handshakes, high-fives and waves as he got into his car.
It is said that this is Trudeau’s last stop in his week-long trip to Southeast Asia. Earlier, he visited Vietnam to attend the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.
