Pinay Girl Homeless in Canada, Now a Model in Manila

Aivie Phan is a Fil-Vietnamese who grew up in Canada. She recently joined a segment on the Kapuso show “Wowowin” where she shared her story. According to the host, Willie Revillame, her story is fit for another Kapuso show ” Magpakailanman,” a drama anthology show.

She got emotional as she recounts her past on the show. According to her, together with her parents and sister, she had a hard time in Canada. She revealed that there was a time when they didn’t have enough money place to stay so they had to live in a car. She said they even had to opt staying at a homeless shelter because they did not have anywhere else to go.

Her boyfriend was with her to support her in the audience. He was the one who mentioned that Aivie had gone through difficult times growing up that there was one Christmas when she and her sister received toys from the garbage. He then left her with an encouraging message. Aivie, in turn, expressed her gratitude towards him.

Going through so much growing up, Aivie decided to stand on her own feet and take control of her life for the better. She moved to the Philippines not knowing anything about the life there, leaving behind her family. She knew how it’s like not having anything so the risk of moving was something she had taken willingly.

Currently, Aivie works as a commercial model in the Philippines. In fact, she was one of the contestants of the second cycle of Philippines’ Next Top Model: High Street that aired on TV5.

Needless to say, she is working hard to have a better life to make her family and friends happy and proud.
