Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited 1st Jollibee Canada.
Thursday, January 26, 2017.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s first visit to Winnipeg was a lunch-hour stop at Jollibee Fast Food Restaurant on Ellice Avenue.
It was reported from Winnipeg Free Press that our dear Prime Minister spent about 10 minutes inside the restaurant and fresh off the plane from Saskatchewan. He was here as he works his way across the prairies on a glad-handing outreach tour. He walked in and said “hey guys” as a cheer went up from the crowd inside. MP Kevin Lamoureux (Member of Parliament for Winnipeg North) and MLA Cindy Lamoureux (Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba for the riding Burrows) were there to greet him. The Prime Minister didn’t seem to eat anything but did pose for photos with staff behind the counter and most of the crowd around 80 people inside, who gave him a very warm reception.
Jollibee is a very popular fast-food restaurant in the Philippines. The Winnipeg outlet is the 1st Jollibee Canada and four more outlets will be constructed in some locations like Ontario and Alberta. The Filipino community is definitely rejoicing because Prime Minister Trudeau managed to find time to visit Jollibee.
“Sa Jollibee beeda ang sarap at beeda ang saya!”
