Help Raise Funds for Helen
Helen Gangat is a Pinay who moved to Canada 12 years ago under the Live-In Caregiver Program. She came to Canada with a goal like any other, to help give a better life for her family in the Philippines. Her life has its ups and downs. Despite every hardship, she can always smile because of her two boys.
Helen is a single mom to a six and a two year old boys. They currently live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Aside from providing for her family in the Philippines, she has been working hard to raise her boys. She definitely is a hardworking provider and a loving mother. She is truly deserving of all the blessings she have received.
However, it was very unfortunate that last July 2015, she was diagnosed with cancer. Her doctors diagnosed her with Naso-Pharyngeal Cancer. It is a rare type of head and neck cancer. It commonly presents itself in the area near the sinuses. Despite her condition, she continues to fulfill her goals. In fact, last May 2016, she finally obtained her Canadian Citizenship.
Sadly, her condition got worse in the latter part of 2016 and needed to start undergoing therapy to treat her cancer. Due to her condition, she is not able to work and provide for her family. She is currently undergoing daily radiation treatment which requires a huge amount of money.
Together with her family and friends, Helen is asking for prayers and donations to keep her strong and sustain her medical treatment and daily needs of her two boys. They are trying to raise $20,000 and have now raised about $2,500. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
