It has been a week since Jollibee opened its doors and gave Canadians a taste of its Chickenjoy. The long queue hasn’t subsided yet. The management have set up a heated trailer for customers who continue to wait for a taste of their favorites. They have also placed a ticketing system for a more efficient way of managing the lines and ensuring the safety of their customers.
This might just be the coldest restaurant opening for Jollibee but Pinoys cannot be bothered by the cold. No matter how cold it gets, our Kababayans will line up and stay outside of the restaurant if that’s what it takes to get their favorites. Some would try to get a number everyday and even if they’re not lucky, they will try again the next day or the day after that. Others would even drive hours from their home city to Winnipeg for a chance to have Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti.

It is not that Winnipeg has no enough places for fried chicken or pasta. Pinoys simply want their Chicken crispylicious and juicylicious, and their spaghetti sweet with sliced hot dogs. Of course, there are other offerings that truly capture the panlasang pinoy.
This is definitely great news for Jollibee since Pinoys will continue to flock the restaurant. We can say that this is a success for the Jollibee Group who plans to iopen more branches in Canada. With the next branch opening in the next several months, the crew should just continue to manage the customer demand and ensure food quality in order to maintain this success. Until then, our kababayans would brave the Winnipeg cold waiting in line at the Ellice branch to get their Jollibee favorites.
